I-96 Speedway Mourns the Passing of Carl Forsythe
The I-96 Speedway family is saddened to learn of the passing of longtime racer and dedicated supporter Carl Forsythe on April 29.
Carl’s connection to I-96 Speedway spanned more than three decades, totaling 31 years at the track. Throughout that time, he was known not only for his presence on race day, but for his passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the sport. Even in recent years, Carl remained deeply involved, continuing to build and prepare race cars while supporting his sons as they carried on the family’s racing tradition.
Carl’s love for racing extended far beyond the driver’s seat. He was a fixture in the pits and a valued member of the racing community, always willing to lend a hand, share knowledge, and support those around him. His legacy will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched within the racing world.
On behalf of everyone at I-96 Speedway, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Forsythe family and friends during this difficult time. Carl’s contributions to the sport and to our track will not be forgotten.
He will be deeply missed.
