I-96 Speedway Cancels May 1st Racing Program Due to Inclement Weather

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lake Odessa, MI — April 29, 2026 — Due to persistent rainfall at the racetrack and forecasted unseasonably cold temperatures, I-96 Speedway officials have made the decision to cancel racing activities scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2026.

The safety and comfort of fans, drivers, and staff remain the top priority, and current weather conditions do not allow for a quality racing surface or event experience.

I-96 Speedway looks forward to welcoming fans back the following week for a special event. Racing will resume on Friday, May 8, 2026, with the Elsie Curtiss Memorial PINK OUT, an evening dedicated to honoring and raising awareness.
