Feature Winners 8/22/25
410 Winged Sprints-#71 Parker Price Miller
Dirtcar UMP LM-#42 Chad Finley
Street Stocks-#67 Carlind Forsythe
Friday Night was a night of Big Dog Racing as the NAPA Auto Parts All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Winged Sprints were in town along with a $6,000 pay day for Dirtcar UMP Late Models bringing out some of the best Late Model drivers in dirt track racing. And, what a show it was.
Starting on the pole for the Napa Auto Parts All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Winged Sprints in the feature was #17GP Tim Shaffer. He would lead lap 1, and give up the top spot on lap 2 to “The Lawfirm” Parker Price Miller before taking it back again and leading from lap 3 to lap 11. #49X Cale Thomas would get around Shaffer and lead for a couple of laps before surrendering the lead to eventual winner, “The Lawfirm” Parker Price Miller. Miller would take the lead on lap 14 and never look back to park it in the Lane Automotive/Allstar Performance Victory Lane to close out the final Michigan date on the tour for the ASCOC. 1st-#71 “The Lawfirm” Parker Price Miller 2nd-#4 Zane Devault 3rd-#17GP Tim Shaffer 4th-#1 Nate Dussel 5th-#11N Kasey Jedrzrjek. They ran a 6 car dash to determine the top 6 starting positions, and that would put the #17GP Tim Shaffer on the pole for the A-Main after winning the dash. Heat winners were #49X Cale Thomas, #4 Zane Devault, and #45 Devon Borden. Fast Time was a 13.186 by #71 “The Lawfirm” Parker Price Miller.
The Late Model Throwdown was originally advertised as $5,000 to win until one of I-96 Speedways biggest supporters and partners, Dave's Dry Dock, donated an extra $1,000 to make it $6,000 to win. It seemed like some drivers had a sense of urgency as we would get a couple of pile ups that took out heavy contenders. Along with heavy hitters having mechanical issues, taking a large portion of hopefuls out of contention. However, even if we didn't lose a few favorites, I'm not sure anyone had anything for winner, #42 Chad Finley. Finley would lead from start to finish with a few attempts by #18 Chase Burda at the lead. Burda’s best chance came as leaders caught the back of the pack and he would close the gap between he and Finley considerably until a late race caution would line them back up and Finley would hold on for the win. 1st-#42 Chad Finley 2nd-#18 Chase Burda 3rd-#11G Greg Gokey 4th-#15B Dave Baker 5th-#27 Eric Spangler. Heat Winners were #4 Travis Stemler, #6M Dona Marcoullier, #21 Logan Nickerson and Spangler. A new track record was set by Chad Finley with a 15.265. Last Chance race was won by #06 Jake Rendel.
The Street Stock class has been one of the most competitive classes each and every Friday and this night was no different. At least 4 different drivers looked poised to knock point leader, Carlind Forsythe, off the top spot, but he proved why he has been the point leader and looking to secure another championship by leading every lap of the feature. He would be pressured multiple times throughout the race, but proved to be the class of the field, once again. 1st-#67 Carlind Forsythe 2nd-#10 Gary Vandermark 3rd-#46 David Schmidt 4th-#65 Bill Brandt Jr. 5th-#7 Trinidy Huey. Forsythe would also win the heat.
Come on out to celebrate a night of Champions on our final night of the 2025 season as we crown champions in all divisions. You don't wanna miss our final night of racing at I-96 “Where Excitement Lives!”
