I-96 Speedway Announces New Safety Team for 2025 Season
I-96 Speedway is excited to announce the addition of a new safety team, a key step in enhancing the safety standards at our track for both drivers and spectators. This new team will bring a wealth of experience and expertise, providing a heightened level of protection and peace of mind for everyone visiting the Speedway this season.
Heading the new safety team is Safety Director Chris Kutzli, who brings with him an impressive 26 years of fire department experience and 15 years of race track safety expertise. Chris has a long-standing commitment to safety, ensuring that all aspects of emergency response and safety protocols are in place to protect drivers, crews, and fans alike.
Assisting Chris is Assistant Safety Director Mark Stephens, whose 37 years of fire department experience and 6 years in race track safety make him a vital asset to the team. Together, Chris and Mark will lead a team of professionals with years of experience as first responders and firefighters. This team will work diligently to elevate I-96 Speedway’s safety standards and response protocols, ensuring that the track remains one of the safest environments for motorsports.
We are thrilled to welcome Chris, Mark, and their team to I-96 Speedway for the 2025 season.
