Lake Odessa- the I-96 Speedway is excited to announce that the West Michigan Off-Road Racing group will be competing on two occasions in 2010. This exciting, yet economical form of racing will be the headliner of the July 3, 2010 Night of Destruction event at the multi-purpose Lake Odessa racing facility.
The West Michigan Off-Road group calls the Hudsonville Fair Grounds its home base and travels on a few occasions to other locations. The second of two events is scheduled for Friday July 30 as a standalone event that is sure to bring action all evening. Both of these race dates are full point’s events for the WMOR, so a full field of four and six cylinder powered vehicles is expected to compete.
To introduce this form of racing to the I-96 Speedway spectators a special exhibition race will be run on Saturday May 29 as a part of the Kid’s Night festivities. A select group of off-road racers will do battle to show the I-96 guests what these racecars are capable of doing.
Mike Mouch promoter/owner of I-96 Speedway stated “I’m really excited to see these racers from throughout Michigan battle it out at our track. With the equipment we own and the layout of our infield I know we can build a really cool race track for these guys and gals.”
The West Michigan Off-Road racing group has a website with plenty of information, that site is www.wmoffroad.com. The I-96 Speedway is located in Lake Odessa, Michigan at exit 64 off of interstate I-96. The I-96 website is www.i96speedway.com for additional information.
