I-96 Speedway’s 2009 Kid’s Club enhancements
LAKE ODESSA, Michigan, February 27, 2009 - I-96 Speedway announces enhancements to kids club and the creation of new secured playground area
Do you love to go to the races? Do you wish you could go more often, but you can’t find or afford a baby sitter for the night? Do you sometimes bring your children to the races and only make it half way through the event before you have to head home early because your child just can’t sit in the grand stands any longer?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, then we have something for you!
I-96 Speedway is excited to announce that we are now offering an irresistible and affordable alternative to a bouncy child in the grand stands. We have always tried to provide a family friendly environment to our patrons; however, even we weren’t able to help you with a bored or tired child stuck in the grand stands.
We at I-96 Speedway decided that something had to be done to provide a safe and fun environment for our younger fans in order to allow the parents to completely enjoy their experience at I-96.
Therefore, we have gone to great lengths to build a new Kid’s Club Pavilion and Playground arena. This new addition features a private and enclosed pavilion where crafts and games will take place on every event night. This pavilion opens up to a large fenced in playground and sandbox arena. The playground features everything from swings and slides to tunnels and climbing extravaganzas. The sand box is equipped with tons of sand toys and heavy duty trucks and play equipment.
“So” you say, “another playground, big deal, right? I still have to supervise my child while they play.” This brings us to the best part. The Kid’s Club is completely secure. You can sign your child in at the Check in Center, where you will receive a badge with an identifying # for you, and your child will receive one that matches yours.
FAQ:
Q: Who’s going to supervise my child while they play if I’m not there?
A: Our very qualified, and state checked Kid’s Club staff will be on hand and supervising your child as he or she plays, making sure that they are not in any danger of getting hurt or leaving the arena.
Q: How will I know if my child needs me?
A: The check in center has a radio to contact the announcer’s tower. If your child needs you for any reason that our staff can not help them with, they will contact the tower and he will announce your name and request your presence at the Check in Center.
Q: How secure is this? How do I know my child will not leave the arena without me, or perhaps with someone I don’t want them to leave with?
A: I-96 Speedway is well aware of the dangers that parents worry about. We have small children of our own, this is one of the main reasons we decided to go forth with this addition. The Kid’s Club Pavilion and arena is completely closed in. Absolutely no one will be able to enter the arena without going through the Check-in Center gate. This gate will be monitored by an employee all night. No child will be allowed to leave the premises without the person that signed them in. You will be required to show a valid picture id to prove that you are that person, and both yours and your child’s badge must match.
Q: What time do I have to pick my child up from the Kid’s Club?
A: The kid’s club will open at 5:00 p.m. and will close at approximately 11:00 p.m. We ask that you pick your child up either by the end of the last feature race, or by 11:00 p.m., whichever comes first.
Q: Are Food and Drinks supplied to my child in the Kid’s Club?
A: Due to the many unknown food allergies affecting many children, we do not feel comfortable providing your child with any thing to eat. However, there will be a drink station where ice water or lemonade will be provided free of charge. We ask that you make sure your child gets something to eat from our concession stand or elsewhere before you check them in to avoid being summoned from the grand stands to get them something to eat.
Q: Do I have to check my child in, or can I go in and supervise them myself?
A: You absolutely do not have to check your child in and leave them. You are more than welcome to stay with your child in the play arena. You will still have to acquire a visitor’s pass at the check in counter though.
Q: How old does my child have to be to be checked into the Kid’s Club?
A: Any child age 5 and above can be checked in and left under the supervision of our staff. If your child is under age 5 you must accompany them while they are in the Kid’s Club arena
Q: This sounds good, my child can have fun and be supervised while I watch the races from the grand stands, but how much will this cost me?
A: Absolutely Nothing! Once you pay for your child’s admission to the race, they are free to enter the Kid’s Club at no additional cost to you.
Q: “Where can I go on a Saturday Night that My Spouse, myself and my kids can all have a fun and safe time on a limited budget?”
A: I-96 SPEEDWAY. You can purchase a family pass for two adults and two children for only $25.00. Can you even get a babysitter for Saturday Night to watch 2 kids for that price any more? Probably not, unless of course you decide to spend $25 to get your entire family into a fun filled event at I-96 Speedway, where the whole family will have entertainment geared toward them individually. We are confidant that your entire family will beg to come back week after week! |
