Action Packed Racing Season for 2008 - March 20 2008

I-96 speedway is proud to announce another action packed racing season for 2008, along with the change to Saturday night racing. The track will feature UMP late models, UMP modified's and UMP hobby stocks racing on the 1/2 mile and road beaters, mini sprints and motorcycles racing on the 1/4 mile track. Each racing division will see at least one big money night during the year.
A kids club is one of the new activities that promoter Mike Mouch as lined up this year. Renegade fuels is the official racing fuel for the track.
Mouch as lined up challenge nights with Winston and Hartford race tracks during the year that will include a point fund for those nights. Also, the off road track located across the road will be in action Wednesday through Saturdays for anyone who wants to get some off road action in a pick-up, motorcycle or anything else you want to get muddy.

Action gets under way with test and tunes for any race cars April 5 and 6. April 12 and 13 is another test and tune and Saturday will feature grudge racing and mud bogging.
April 19 is the season opener with the Ice breaker UMP mod special paying $1,500 to win and the UMP hobby stocks racing for $800.00 to win. Road beaters and mini sprints will also be racing.
Some other big racing nights will see the return of the Sunoco late models on May 3rd, mini sprint welcomer on May 10th paying $500.00 to win, the Full throttle nationals on June 28th, the World of Outlaw sprint cars on July 25th and I-96 speedway's 1st annual Michigan Grand Nationals on August 22-23.
Pit gates will open at 4PM, front gate at 5PM, hot laps at 6 first race at 7:30.
